From past to present. Introduction to MIJNO (PowerPoint - 26Mo) FOR 90 YEARS, A FAMILY-OWNED COMPANY. Proud of our past and working for continued achievements in the future MIJNO & Sons was established in 1919 by Joseph MIJNO to produce bicycle and motorcycle gears. - In the fifties his 4 sons Jean, Adrien, Henri and Louis took over management of the company. Mrs MIJNO and her 4 sons (from left to right : Jean, Adrien, Henri and Louis). Today Henri's son François (see below) runs the company. - From the sixties, MIJNO developed by acquiring several companies in order to diversify its know-how. - 1968 : First planetary gearbox - 1970 : First bevel gear - 1972 : First rack - 1978 : First low-backlash planetary gearbox - 1979 : First ground gear - 1997 : Opening of the North American office in Chicago (USA) by Mr François MIJNO and Mr Tom PROVENCHER Today the third generation (Mr François MIJNO) runs the company. This management stability vouches for the respect of our commitments, the continuity of our quality policy, and the establishment of long-term relationships with our customers, our employees and our subcontractors. This stability is a key-element in our policy of constant improvement. MIJNO is certified ISO 9001, employs 70 people and uses 120 recent-generation machine-tools in a 5000 m² production building. The entire production is carried out in France, over 50% of which is exported through our American distribution subsidiary and our efficient distribution network. MIJNO has managed to acquire over the years a unique know-how in design and production of complex transmission components. A consistent investment in high-tech equipment and ongoing training of our staff enable us to control the whole process of creation and production, while meeting demanding quality standards . We constantly prepare and are ready for tomorrow's challenges .
